COMPANY OVERVIEW

Bristol Beat Radio, LLC is a digital media streaming commercial radio station located in the heart of Bristol, Connecticut.  Bristol Beat Radio, LLC, otherwise known as The BEAT, is bringing community radio back to Bristol, but with more of a commercial feel.  The BEAT focuses on on Bristol and the surrounding towns in regards to listener-ship and advertisers.  Our main focus is to obtain business relationships of our local business owners big and small.  To  develop a long resting relationship with our clients that will last not only years, but decades.

Our Opportunity:

The Promotions Director position is a part time, hourly, (which may turn into a full time, salary) administrative position.  Experience should include knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, basic web site editing and HTML, event planning, all Microsoft Office applications, and rock radio format knowledge.  This individual will be responsible for coordinating and planning station events and appearances as well as station contests, prizes and other promotional activities.  Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate and execute all on-site logistics for appearances and live broadcasts for radio stations
  • Working directly with sales to organize appearances
  • Communicate event schedules, duties, etc. to jocks, clients, promo crews, sales reps, and staff
  • Manage the on-air giveaway calendars and prize inventory
  • Oversee planning and executing of annual promotional calendars
  • Work directly with the Program Directors and Sales Managers to coordinate weekly meetings
  • Maintain the radio station websites send out weekly social media and station database email blasts
  • Develop promotional proposals and concepts for sponsors and community events
  • Write copy for weekly e-blasts, on-air promotions and online promotional support
  • Hire and fire interns that will assist in all station promotional events

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Basic website editing, Word Press, and HTML
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in event planning
  • Good at problem solving and prioritizing
  • Great team player
